About the speakers
Hasni Abidi, PhD
Hasni ABIDI is a political scientist who specializes in the Arab world and international affairs . He is director of the Center for Studies and Research on the Arab and Mediterranean World (CERMAM) in Geneva and Visiting Professor at the University of Paris I. Sorbonne.
His research focuses on political developments in the Middle East and North Africa. He has contributed to several publications. He holds a Doctorate in Political Science from the University of Geneva after five years at the European Institute of University of Geneva. He is also lecturer at University Paris I, Sorbonne. His work focuses on political developments.
Hasni ABIDI is a consultant to several international institutions and media, including UNESCO, ICRC.

Tony George, Partner at INCE & Co
With a reputation originally earned in shipping, commodity, marine insurance and energy litigation, Tony George came to devote himself to insurance law and litigation, particularly involving political and credit risk. Over the last 35 years Tony has been involved in almost all the political risk insurance claims requiring legal input in the London Market - acting for insurers, brokers, insureds or their financing banks. He also helped develop political and credit risk insurance products. During his career, Tony has been involved in several hundred cases in over 80 countries, and he was recently described by Chambers & Partners 2011 as "your go-to man" for political risk matters. Although Tony has now retired from the partnership, as a consultant to Ince & Co LLP, he continues to advise on political and credit risk insurance matters and remains a frequent speaker and writer on the subject.
Bernard Mettetal, Partner at HMN & Partners
Co-founder of the law firm Honig Buffat Mettetal in 1979, he was senior partner of the Paris law firm Clyde & Co, which was created following two successive mergers: in 2001 between Honig Buffat Mettetal and Duprey Preel Coulon (renamed HPMBC) then in May 2002 between HPMBC and the international law firm Clyde & Co. He is now partner of HMN & Partners (HONIG METTETAL NDIAYE), since May 1st, 2006.He specializes in insurance and reinsurance law, political risk, product liability and arbitration. He is acting as ICC arbitrator. He is also a member of the IBA and co-founder of CEFAREA (Insurance and Reinsurance Arbitration Centre).
